A group of long-term Valencia residents kept meeting the same person at three different parties: someone new in town, no WhatsApp group to land in, eating dinner alone at a Ruzafa bar de tapas counter. So we built one - ten, actually, one for whoever you are.
Beach lovers wanted a dawn-swim chat. Nomads wanted coworking meetups. Parents wanted pediatrician recommendations. Football fans wanted a Mestalla watch-party crew. So instead of one crowded group, we started ten focused ones.
Ten WhatsApp communities, capped around 250 members each, moderated by long-term Valencia residents. When you reach out, a human reads your message, checks which group fits, and adds you. We do not use bots, we do not sell numbers, we do not run ads in the chats.
It is a labor of love, run by people who live here and want the city to feel like home faster for the next arrival. That is it.
A small team of moderators across Ruzafa, Benimaclet, Malvarrosa, Patacona and Ciutat Vella. We are not a business. We do not have an office. We meet for dinner every few weeks in different bars de tapas to keep sane.
